Pictures do no justice

Here's a little video footage of Seth since my camera doesn't take the best pictures and the pictures do him no justice. Hope no one is bothered by the little umbilical stump. I mean, he was only 2 days old when this was taken.

A little more

Here are a few more pictures for those of you who haven't had your fill of Seth and all his cuteness.

(Drunk on milk - Kendra and I get a kick out of this shot)

Not Yet

So - No baby yet. I have never made it to a due date before, let alone passed it. (Yesterday was my due date.) My mind is a little obsessed and preoccupied and I'm trying hard not to think about when this kiddo is going to decide to make an entrance. I've done everything on my part, now it's up to him. He's not taking the hint. We'll be sure to post something when he arrives. I'm hoping sooner than later.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Here's an activity my kids chose to do today, March 17, 2009. What were you up to?
P.S. - Our backyard is a work in progress. It's in its "got a lot of potential" stage right now.

Baby bunny

Yesterday we had a lot of excitement in our garage. The kids were so excited to see that a baby bunny found it's way in. We tried to coax it out, but it always turned before actually leaving the garage, and it would hide under something. Poor thing was so scared. We haven't seen it since yesterday afternoon, so we're hoping that it snuck out while we weren't looking. I still check everytime I go out.

My mischievious man

I have no idea if I spelled the title to this post correctly, but anywho. . ..

Luke keeps me busy. That's for sure. Lately, he's been very interested in all the baby stuff and pointing out babies and all that good stuff. We're doing our best to prepare him for his new little brother. Our house is a bit of a disorganized mess (I'm too tired to nest properly) because we've been getting all the baby stuff out and set up, or against a wall ready to set up. Matt's had a busy work schedule and the floor is too far away for me (I did some picking up of the toy room the other day and the constant bending gave me the worst heart burn for the rest of the day despite having taken Zantac AND Tums.) Anyway, the baby is going in Luke's room. He's excited to share his room. (He and Maya shared until we moved here to Texas.) I've got storage bins out full of baby clothes and blankets, etc. I walked into Luke's room to find this:

He had dumped out the container with all the blankets and burp rags and was hiding under it all. He thought is was a great game. The upside to this game, aside from entertaining him for a bit: since the blankets were out of the bin, I finally got around to throwing them in the wash, and now they're all fresh and ready for baby's arrival.

Another incident: Just yesterday I was in my room folding laundry. Luke was in the toy room, which is right next to my bedroom. Sounded like he was playing nicely. Every so often I'd hear him declare, "Yay, we did it!" He was having a good time. I went to check on him and found this:

He had taken all the legos, his race cars and track, all the stuffed animals, and all the books from the book shelf and made a big pile on the floor. He was quite proud of himself and not happy when I made him pick up everything. By the time I got the camera, he had put most of the stuffed animals away. He was originally trying to lie down on them on the big pile and rest.

He keeps me busy.

The Belly

Okay - This is hard for me to post, but I think it's important to have at least one picture of yourself very pregnant. I hate to look at it while I'm pregnant, but I like to look back once my body is back to normal. So here's a picture taken of me last Sunday (37 weeks along). Please be kind in your thoughts and remember, the camera adds 10 pounds to the enormous amount of weight I've already gained. For comparison, I'm including pictures of me pregnant with Maya and Luke.

Now for the pool - give me your guesses on when you think I'll have this baby. Maya's due date was May 15th - she was born on May 13th. Luke's was September 5th - he was born on the 2nd. My due date now is March 22nd. When do you think this baby will arrive? Due date or later, a few days early like Maya and Luke, or a week or more early?
Last Sunday 3/1 (37 weeks)

Below - red shirt: Maya, black shirt: Luke

Maya was 7 1/2 pounds, Luke was just about 10 pounds. I'm curious to see how big this next one is.

A glimpse into my life

I'm sitting on the couch watching a movie and relaxing. Luke was changing out of his Sunday clothes. I send him upstairs to get a clean pair of underwear. He is naked, wearing only his socks. This is how he comes downstairs: He has a pair of underwear on his head like a hat. He throws another pair down the stairs for me to help him put on. He walks over to me, with nothing but socks on his feet and underwear on his head, doing a robot walk.
That boy cracks me up!
