We took the training wheels off of Maya's bike this month. They were doing more harm than good - she was riding at an angle because the training wheels were loose and wouldn't support the bike. I got tired of her complaining, so we took the training wheels off. Luckily we live in a culdesac, so there is minimal traffic which makes learning to ride more doable. There are lots of neighborhood kids out riding every night (Love the Texas weather) so they even cheered her on as she practiced. Didn't take too long for her to get the hang of it. Now she begs every chance she can get to go out and ride her bike.
Teach Maya to ride a bike - check. . . Teach Luke not to run off every chance he gets - I wish! That boy is fast! For some reason he thinks "stop", "turn around" and "come here" mean "run away from mom as fast as you can!" But that's another story - just think superwalmart and code adam over the loud speaker.
